Get them talking What will you remember about this year?  What were your highlights and lowlights in 2019?
Keep them talking If we were writing a book about your life, what would we call the chapter about 2019? What’s something you learned this year… a lesson you want to take with you into 2020? What’s something you stopped doing this year… something you want to leave behind and not take with you? Who’s someone you helped this year? Who’s someone you want to thank for their help this year?
Points to consider Our society tends to focus on bad news – all the things that are going wrong around us.  It’s worth taking a minute to think about stuff that’s gone well. Most New Year’s resolutions don’t last past the first week… but it isuseful to reflect on the past year and how we want the new year to be different. The holidays can be a stressful time for many people.  A great way to reduce stress is by acknowledging people and thanking them.  When we give someone a compliment, we wind up feeling better too!
